So my Aunt called me the other day with a surprise. She scheduled me a cut & color appointment with her friend who is a color specialist for today at 2, her treat! I am super excited!

I just took a bath and am about to throw on some clothes and go meet her at the salon early. We are going to look at pictures and decide what to do for the cut mainly, but also figure out if there is anything color-wise that will look good with low upkeep. I can’t afford to get my hair done professionally and usually just dye from a box. My ex used to pay for me to get my hair done by an awesome lady back where I live, but I cannot afford that, at all. My friend Christy used a Color Oops kit early last week to lift the darker color out and used a nice dye/highlight kit to fix my hair. It looks 1000x better than it did (with a serious line of grow out down the middle) but I am still excited to see what my Aunt’s friend has in store for me.

My Aunt made this appointment because my the bottom half of my hair has been continually growing out and has stayed almost black since I dyed it natural darkest brown last July. It looked pretty ridiculous- to me, at least.

I haven’t had my hair professionally done since this time 2 years ago!! I can’t wait!
